Video shows a Florida man attempting to rob a convenience store but all he got out of it was stab wound to the abdomen, said the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office.
They said it happened Sunday morning at 5:45 a.m. in Tampa, Florida. The suspect’s demand for a money bag escalated to something more brutal: He and the store clerk started fighting over a baseball bat behind the counter.
The suspect managed to take the bat, but the clerk stabbed him in the abdomen, authorities said.
No, this didn’t end there. They kept on fighting until the clerk escaped outside to find deputies.
“The suspect removed a brown paper bag full of cash from behind the counter and fled on foot,” said the HCSO statement.
Footage shows the two men fighting up and down the store, knocking off trays, shelves, products, a trash can, etc.
The man has been identified as Daniel Dwayne Eubanks, 44, reports the Tampa Bay Times. He faces charges of armed robbery, grand theft, and aggravated battery.
