Erin Andrews Reaches Settlement With Hotel After ‘Peeping Tom’ Trial

ErinAndrewsUsually you hear about lawsuits being settled before a case goes to trial, but on Monday, Fox Sports reporter Erin Andrews reached an agreement with West End Hotel Partners and Windsor Capital Group, the owner and operator of the Nashville Marriott where a stalker recorded video of Andrews changing in her hotel room, The Tennessean newspaper reported. A jury had already awarded Andrews $55 million.

But that amount was divided between the hotel and stalker Michael Barrett, with $28 million to come from Barrett. Andrews’s lawyer, Randall Kinnard, argued that the hotel should not get to split responsibility with the stalker who probably wouldn’t be able to pay his share. Hours before attorneys for Andrews and the hotel companies were supposed to go back to court to discuss the matter, both sides reach an agreement.

The terms of the agreement are currently confidential.
