How a Cardboard Cutout of the MyPillow CEO Caused a 911 Call

Cops in Jordan, Minnesota cracked the case we’ll call, “The Mystery of the Man Standing Outside in the Cold.” According to police on Thursday, a person called in a welfare check on a guy standing motionless by a home. He had no coat on and he was hugging a pillow.

It’s worth mentioning that local temperatures are slated to be sub-freezing until mid-March, dipping to as low as -10 degrees Fahrenheit. Officers checked out the scene, but they found out there was more to this call than they first expected. The subject wasn’t a man. He wasn’t even sentient. it was the cardboard cutout of Mike Lindell, CEO of the MyPillow company. No charges have been announced.

“Those cardboard cutouts sure can look real from a distance and the caller certainly was not wanting to get too close thinking who is this deranged person standing outside in the cold hugging a pillow; always better to call the police,” cops said with a very professional smile emoji.

“Unreal!” Lindell said in a Facebook post about the investigation.

Unreal, indeed! Open and shut, just like that.

In other amazing recent news, a suspect in Michigan (a real flesh-and-blood man) turned himself in on outstanding warrants in 2017 after he promised that he’d do it if his Facebook post was shared enough. True to his word, he reported to police with a dozen doughnuts.

Another man (also a real human being) turned himself in to cops last December after he allegedly dragged his feet on turning himself in.

“Here for our date sweetheart,” he wrote in a post after finally reporting to the police station. He took a selfie.
