Fmr Army Ranger Blasts ‘Fascist’ Students Who Say Chik-fil-A Threatens Campus Safe Space (VIDEO)

A former Army Ranger and graduate of Duquesne University has had enough of complaints from a group of LGBT advocates complaining about the planned opening of a Chik-fil-A in the university food court.

An LGBT advocacy at group called the Lambda Gay Straight Alliance is reportedly protesting the planned opening, having recently met with university officials, claiming it poses a threat to the campus “safe space” for LGBT students.

Duquesne is a private, Catholic university in Pittsburgh.  Chik-fil-A had become the focus of controversy because the CEO of the company came out of against gay marriage.

“I’ve tried very hard within the last semester and a half to promote this safe environment for the LGBTQ+ community,” the president of the Lambda Gay Straight Alliance recently  said, according to Fox News. “So I fear that with the Chick-fil-A being [on campus] that maybe people will feel that [our] safe place is at risk.”

The problem started because the university decided to bring a Chik-fil-A Express to the school after hearing from students on campus that they wanted to bring the popular food chain to campus.  The decision to green light the project brought out the critics and that is what caused Sean Parnell to let loose on Fox & Friends.

“Toughen up. There are no safe spaces in the real world,” Parnell said, suggesting the students couldn’t possibly fear a chicken restaurant.

He also called the safe space argument absurd to bring up in this situation, reminding critics thy are not being forced to patronize the establishment.

“That is not what America was founded on. That is not what universities were founded on either,” Parnell said, suggesting it is time of the university president to maybe print “no safe spaces” clauses on new applications.

However, the most shocking statement from the former Army Ranger was his calling this attempt to “shut down [the] business” simply because the CEO does not share your views “fascist” way of thinking.”
