There are reports of an active shooter at Ohio State University. NBC 4 in Columbus has video from near the scene streaming live via periscope. There appears to be a very large police presence in the area.

According to the latest reports, the Ohio State Police sent out a message about a possible active shooter at 9:56 a.m. that said, “Buckeye Alert: Active Shooter on campus. Run Hide Fight. Watts Hall. 19th and College.”
At least one report claims firefighters say as many as seven individuals were transported from the scene, there is no word on the nature of any injuries.
This is a breaking story and it will be updated as more information becomes available.
UPDATE:
The Columbus Dispatch newspaper is now saying nine individuals have been transported and at least one suspect is reportedly dead, according to police sources.
