Yesterday morning, Greg Cappeart, the owner of Argonics Inc. in Louisville, Colorado, returned to his office to find the two front doors shattered to pieces.
Perhaps naturally, he believed a vandal was to blame for the apparent property crime, and phoned the police.
But then he reviewed the security footage only to find … goats.
The perpetrators are still at large, but its unlikely they’ll be charged with a crime even if apprehended. Colorado doesn’t currently recognize goats as persons under their laws dealing with criminal mischief.
That could, of course, change after this incident.
Whether the goats in question have any connection to the packs of wild chihuahuas who briefly overran a small town in Arizona a few years back is another question entirely.
