Dash cam video released Thursday shows former North Carolina State Trooper Michael G. Blake yanking Navy veteran Kimberly Ingram from her car during a traffic stop in March. Prosecutors are reviewing the footage for possible charges.
Footage is public now because of a court order. This happened after media outlets petitioned to get their hands on the video, according to the Associated Press. Blake, who is white, was one of the law enforcement officers charged and fired for the alleged beating of Kyron Hinton.

A trooper, identified as Blake, approaches the vehicle, and orders the driver to put her hands up.
He opens the door.
“Get out,” he says. “Take your seat-belt off.”
He pulls the driver, Ingram, out of the car, and grabs one of her arms. He sits on her back, commands her to put her other arm behind her back, and tells her to stop resisting.
Blake accuses her of taking too long to pull over, and she was charged with failing to stop for a law enforcement vehicle. That case ended up being dropped.
The ex-trooper’s attorney Joe Cheshire argued his client had a great 20 year record in the military and law enforcement.
“We don’t understand why we just throw our public servants under the bus without an absolute clear understanding of what happened,” he said.
Ingram sued the North Carolina State Highway Patrol in May.
Legally speaking, Blake’s plate will remain full even if this doesn’t result in a criminal case. That incident happened back on March 28. Just six days later on April 3, he and several other law enforcement officers allegedly beat up Kyron Hinton. Broken bones, and dog bites from a K9, Hinton said. Blake, fellow Trooper Tabithia L. Davis were fired. They and Wake County sheriff’s Deputy Cameron B. Broadwell were charged.
