Omarosa’s Take on James Comey’s Firing: ‘Something Serious Going on in Donald’s Brain’

Former “Apprentice” star Omarosa Manigault-Newman plans on cashing in on her time in the White House, even calling into question President Donald Trump‘s mental state while recalling her reaction to his firing of former FBI Director James Comey.

Omarosa has begun the publicity tour for her book Unhinged: An Insider’s Account of the Trump White House in a Daily Mail exclusive, which includes lines from the book.

Remarkably, Omarosa flashed back to one of the most memorable consequences of Trump’s presidency: the firing of James Comey. In particularly, she recalled NBC’s Lester Holt interviewing Trump and the president not taking Hope Hicks‘ advice. Hicks was formerly Trump’s communications director in the White House.

‘Throughout this erratic and contradictory interview, I kept thinking, ‘Oh no! Oh no! This is bad!” Omarosa writes. “Hope had gone over the briefing with him a dozen times hitting the key point that he had fired Comey based on the recommendation by the DOJ which the vice president and other surrogates had been reinforcing for days.”

She said she watched in horror as Trump said “And, in fact, when I decided to just [fire Comey], I said to myself, I said, ‘You know, this Russia thing with Trump and Russia is a made-up story. It’s an excuse by the Democrats for having lost an election,'” rather than following Hicks’ cues.

Omarosa said this performance from May 2017 made her realize “something real and serious was going on in Donald’s brain.”

“His mental decline could not be denied. Many didn’t notice it as keenly as I did because I knew him way back when. They thought Trump was being Trump, off the cuff. But I knew something wasn’t right,” she added.

We are absolutely stunned — stunned we tell you (please detect the sarcasm) — that Omarosa has written this book. For old time’s sake, Omarosa was given the old “you’re fired” in December 2017 and the departure seemed ugly.

Here is how the author is publicly advertising her work:

The former Assistant to the President and Director of Communications for the Office of Public Liaison in the Trump White House provides an eye-opening look into the corruption and controversy of the current administration.

Few have been a member of Donald Trump’s inner orbit longer than Omarosa Manigault Newman. Their relationship has spanned fifteen years—through four television shows, a presidential campaign, and a year by his side in the most chaotic, outrageous White House in history. But that relationship has come to a decisive and definitive end, and Omarosa is finally ready to share her side of the story in this explosive, jaw-dropping account.

A stunning tell-all and takedown from a strong, intelligent woman who took every name and number, Unhinged is a must-read for any concerned citizen.

As the Amazon listing shows, Omarosa’s book goes on sale Aug. 14, 2018, and the hardcover versions costs $22.40.
