Man Who Admitted Pulling Off Woman’s Niqab Flicks Off Cameras Outside of Court

A English man has admitted to pulling off a woman’s niqab at a shopping center and yelling “you are in our country now, you stupid f** Muslim.” If that wasn’t bad enough, 55-year old Petter Scotter flicked the cameras off when he appeared in court to “admit racially aggravated assault by beating and a separate charge of racially aggravated harassment,” The Independent reports.

The prosecutor said that woman was with her nine-year-old outside a shopping center when Scotter approached her, and almost threw her to the ground while pulling off her niqab.

“This incident has left me scared to go out and I don’t want to go into town again,” the victim reportedly said after the incident.

Scotter’s attorney said he was diagnosed with a cancerous tumor, and was scheduled for a surgery. A judge said that he would be sentenced at a later date, and would factor in his illness when the time came.
