Harvard Law Prof Dubs Charlottesville Group ‘Treasonous’ Terrorists

The organizers and attendees of last weekend’s “Unite the Right” demonstration in Charlottesville, Virginia have been labeled with several names: Neo-Nazi’s, White Supremacists, White Nationalists, the Alt-Right. Well, you can add one more to the list.

Terrorists.

Harvard Law Professor Laurence Tribe dropped the “t-word” in a tweet Wednesday morning.

Tribe said the group, which promoted a hate-filled agenda that resulted in violence, should be considered a terrorist organization.

He’s not alone either. Indeed, while Attorney General Jeff Sessions didn’t characterize the whole rally this way, he did say that the driver who plowed a car into a crowd of counter-protesters fit the bill for domestic terrorism.

In addition to being terrorists, Tribe noted that unlike terrorist groups we’re used to, they’re not some foreign band of attackers, they’re Americans. Therefore, Tribe says, they’re guilty of treason as well.
