What happened at a Brooklyn salon on Friday after “they fucked up a lady eyebrow” is, well, raising eyebrows. If you’d never heard of New Red Apple Nails, you have now, after video showed workers smacking pissed off patrons repeatedly with broomsticks and more.
Mercy Meduka posted the original video of the incident on Facebook last Friday and it’s been viewed more than 700,000 times at the time of this writing.
“So I’m at the nail salon and they fucked up a lady eyebrow and she refused to pay then a fight broke outttt,” Meduka wrote. “Share this cause the cops decided to arrest the black people but not the Chinese people who ganged up on them.”
“Hitting them like animals,” Meduka added, also leaving the address of the establishment.
The New York Post reported that one of the workers, 32-year-old Huiyue Zheng, was arrested for assault and weapon possession. So was a customer, however. Christina Thomas faces a misdemeanor assault charge. Both women have been released from police custody.
Zheng was reportedly swinging a broomstick.
It’s not the first time, and probably won’t be the last time, less than satisfactory results have been dished out at a salon, resulting in a massive physical altercation.
