A substitute teacher in Ohio has been indicted on charges after allegedly having sex with two of her students and sending one of them nudes.
Twenty-three-year-old Madeline Marx was charged with two counts of sexual battery over the allegations.
According to the Franklin Police Department, Marx performed oral sex on a 17-year-old student in the parking lot of a Big Lots department store on July 19 of this year.
Police also say that a 16-year-old student told them he had intercourse with Marx on September 21 in the parking lot of an apartment complex.
Ohio’s age of consent is 16-years-old, so Marx is not being charged with rape.
According to WHIO, Marx was escorted out of the Fairmont High School in Kettering, Ohio on November 8. Sometime after that, she apparently admitted to a engaging in a bevy of sexual relationships with students, according to documents filed in court.
An affidavit also appears to show Marx confessing to having sent her nudes to a student via popular social media apps Snapchat and Instagram.
Marx has a four-year teaching license and also substitutes at the nearby Oakwood High School in Dayton. Officials at Oakwood issued a letter to parents stating that there were no misconduct allegations involving any of their students.
A 2016 graduate from the University of Dayton, a review of her transcripts by WHIO apparently shows that Marx withdrew from a 2013 class on sexual ethics.
Marx is currently free on bond and faces a November 30 hearing on the charges.
