‘No Motive’: Possible Serial Murders Leave Police Stunned

Cops in Tampa, Florida aren’t sure what to make of a spate of shooting deaths in the Seminole Heights neighborhood. First, 22-year-old Benjamin Mitchell was shot and killed by his home on October 9. Two days later, it was 32-year-old Monica Hoffa. 20-year-old Anthony Naiboa became the third victim on October 19 after getting on the wrong bus home. Then early morning Tuesday, someone took the life of 60-year-old Ronald Felton.

Tampa Police Chief Brian Dugan believes all four deaths are connected.

“It’s the time, the methodology, the fact that they were all alone,” he said in a press conference Wednesday. “There is no motive. Nothing is taken or anything like that.”

He released surveillance footage showing a man identified as a suspect in Mitchell’s and Felton’s deaths. The man–described as a black male standing between 6′ and 6’2″, thin with a light complexion–could be seen flipping a phone in the area.

Cops don’t have a name, and want the public’s help in finding the man. The reward is up to $91,000. Dugan suggested this suspect may have nothing to do with these killings, but he believed that this could be the killer.
