This incident might be a little familiar. Local Fort Lauderdale outlet WPLG caught the looting of Simon’s Sportswear on tape. Looters braved storm conditions to make off with stolen items.
The outlet said the group then did the same at a nearby Foot Locker and Cash America Pawn. In their report about the arrests, they said the group included six adults and three teens. The adult suspects are Michael Brown, Zara Dumornay, Rossano Henry Jr., Kenneth Pinkney, Tyrell Pratt, and Teonhki Robinson.
According to Broward County Jail records obtained by Law Newz, everyone but Dumornay and Robinson were charged with burglary of an unoccupied structure during a state emergency, resisting an officer without violence, and violating established emergency measures. Dumornay was only accused of burglary and violating emergency measures. As for Robinson, she was booked for the burglarly charge, violating emergency measures, and contributing to the delinquency or dependency of a child. The charges are pending trial.
