Defamation lawyer Charles Harder is no longer representing embattled, disgraced movie mogul Harvey Weinstein.

Harder was working with Weinstein in a threatened lawsuit against The New York Times over a report that the mogul settled sexual harassment claims with at least eight women. One of them, actress Rose McGowan, has since outright claimed he raped her.
Law Newz reached out to Harder to learn why he left. We did not get a response as of press time. Sallie Hofmeister, a spokesperson for Weinstein, declined to comment.
Harder made a name for himself representing Hulk Hogan in a successful lawsuit against Gawker, which essentially killed the outlet and earned Harder a bit of a reputation.
When Harder signed on for the possible Times lawsuit, it seemed like a big deal, and a large court fight looked ready to begin. Not anymore, at least not with this attorney.
Another high-profile attorney, Lisa Bloom, also left Weinstein’s side shortly after the Times published their bombshell piece.
