Officer Anthony Mannino received the Napperville Police Department Life Saving Award after rescuing a toddler who was running along the busy roadway, narrowly missing the cars speeding by.
Mannino pulled over and ran after the 1-year-old, as seen in the dash cam footage, and pulled him out of harm’s way.
The toddler had run away from his mother when she was not looking and ran towards the highway. They were reunited shortly after.
Luckily, no one was hurt in the incident.
