A Nevada parole board granted parole for convicted armed robber OJ Simpson on Thursday. It’s a big deal for the ex-NFL player. That said, he’s just a little bit more famous for his acquittal in the double murder of ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson and Ron Goldman, so Twitter users just had to weigh in.

“Move to Florida,” said @FLGovScott when he was swore in for a 2nd term. Well, guess what? A new resident – Mr. Simpson – will be here soon

And yes, there was the obligatory “Juice is loose” pun.

And what will Simpson do with his now-found freedom? Will he find paying work? There’s plenty of openings in government right about now. Walter Shaub, after all, just left his position as director of the Office of Government Ethics.

Twitter users had already weighed in on the parole hearing.
OJ Simpson/Trump in 1993. If someone told you then that Trump would end up as POTUS + OJ would be in jail for robbery you would have laughed pic.twitter.com/QwTaY2btDZ

I genuinely don’t understandwhy every network is broadcasting OJ Simpson’s parole hearing. Ultimately we don’t need the play by play

Simpson’s first eligible day of release comes October 1. In a way, the Juice won’t really be loose, though. He lost a wrongful death lawsuit by the Goldman family in 1997, and the judgement gone raised up to $52 million because of interest. They are still going after the unpaid money.
