Attorney General Jeff Sessions will appear before the House Judiciary Committee Tuesday morning to provide testimony regarding oversight of the Department of Justice. The hearing is set to begin at 10:00 am EST. Watch live in the player above.
Sessions previously testified at a similar hearing before the Senate Judiciary Committee in October. At that hearing, Sessions refused to answer questions regarding private conversations he had with President Donald Trump, claiming that executive privilege prevented him from revealing the information, even though Trump had never formally invoked the privilege.
Tuesday’s hearing will likely include more of the same, although it remains to be seen what other topics will come up, and how Sessions will address them. Sessions will likely face questions regarding his knowledge of conversations between the Trump campaign and Russia, such as those described in the statement by George Papdopoulos, which wasn’t released to the public until after Sessions’ Senate hearing.
