Tucker Carlson decided to weigh in on the ongoing feud between Kathy Griffin and celebrity attorney Lisa Bloom on Tuesday’s “Tucker Carlson Tonight,” and he’s firmly with Griffin on the anti-Bloom team. The Fox News host referenced a statement Griffin posted on social media calling Bloom a “fame whore” who engages in “fake feminism.”
Bloom had earned a reputation as a women’s advocate, but came under intense criticism when she was representing Harvey Weinstein against sexual assault and harassment allegations. She quickly decided to resign as Weinstein’s counsel, but the damage was done, especially in the eyes of Griffin, whom Bloom represented when the comedian got in trouble for posting an image of her holding the severed head of President Donald Trump.
Carlson also appears to take issue with Bloom’s initial decision to provide legal services to Weinstein after publicly representing female victims in similar cases. He also referenced an allegation from actress and Weinstein accuser Rose McGowan that Bloom offered her money in exchange for speaking positively about the film producer.
“Turns out Lisa Bloom is exactly who you thought she is,” Carlson said. “A moral cover for hire, a feminist Al Sharpton, a scam artist. Even Kathy Griffin knows that.”
