A Manhattan socialite, also known as the daughter of former Washington Redskins owner Jack Kent Cooke, has learned her punishment for the New Year’s Eve street brawl that erupted when she apparently hurled an anti-Semitic comment in the direction of a 77-year-old woman.
Jacqueline Kent Cooke has been sentenced to three days of community service, Page Six reports.
Cooke agreed to a plea deal on Tuesday for disorderly conduct, which is a violation, not a crime. The deal means Cooke will not have a criminal charge on her record. She will be required to prove come January that she completed her three days of community service requirement.
Cooke had faced an assault charge after the ugly incident. She was accused of accosting a woman at an Upper East Side restaurant called Caravaggio with an anti-Semitic remark and then hitting that woman’s son with her glass purse — yes, such an accessory is apparently a thing in heiress land. This caused him to bleed.
That man was identified as Matthew Haberkorn, 52.
He said that he was out for dinner with his wife, four daughters and his mother. As they were leaving, he went to the bathroom.
“She made a comment to my mother, ‘Hurry up, you Jew,’ as she was getting her jacket,” Haberkorn said. Needless to say, Haberkorn was not happy about this and confronted Cooke outside of the restaurant.
She initially claimed that the woman misheard her.
The video above, thoroughly bleeped out, shows a belligerent Cooke struggling to stand and tumbling around.
