So went out for a 2am snack and my friend (wearing a MAGA hat) had his hat stolen and a drink thrown in his face (and mine, you can see my arms on the left of the video) pic.twitter.com/B3QjBFIxPk

The Texas man who allegedly grabbed a teenage Trump supporter’s “Make America Great Again” hat and tossed a drink at him has been indicted. Kino Jimenez is scheduled to stand trial October 19 in a Bexar County courtroom, according to records obtained by Law&Crime. A grand jury indicted him Wednesday for theft of a person.
Viral video from early July shows a bearded man tearing off the MAGA hat from a teenage Trump supporter’s head. He then tosses a drink.
“You ain’t supporting shit, nigga,” says the man.
San Antonio cops claim that’s Jimenez in the footage, but they didn’t put out many details because the case involves a minor. Authorities didn’t identify him. They said in July that they learned about the incident after the teen and a guardian reported an assault at a police substation, according to a statement obtained by Law&Crime. Cops in Universal City apprehended Jimenez, and they turned him over to San Antonio detectives, police said.
16-year-old Hunter Richards did speak on the record with News 4 San Antonio at the time, and said that was his hat.
“I support my President, and if you don’t, let’s have a conversation about it instead of ripping my hat off,” he said. “I just think a conversation about politics is more productive for the entire whole rather than taking my hat and yelling subjective words to me.”
Jimenez’s attorney of record didn’t immediately respond to a Law&Crime request for comment Friday afternoon.
