More details emerge about the most important news story in America today: That crazy viral video where a McDonald’s employee brawled with a customer. Head strikes, body slams into tables, third parties getting involved, a thrown milkshake, defending mom’s honor — this video had it all.
The person who first posted the footage said it started with a dispute over a cup of water and the soda machine. Well, it seems like we now know the names of the people involved.
Meet Erika Chavolla, the employee. She actually did an interview published Thursday on Facebook Live with Marie Dayag, the woman who took credit for filming the video in the first place.

“That shit was crazy,” Chavolla said. “It went everywhere.” She said she was still employed the Las Vegas location where the brawl happened, but later said she wasn’t allowed to be there.
Chavolla showed the camera her left fist, which seemed to show a small cut. She said she sustained it from punching the other woman in the teeth.
Her boyfriend also appeared in the video. He was identified as the man in the footage who apparently stepped between the employee and the customer.
“I was not trying to stop it,” he said in the Facebook Live interview, laughing. “You don’t stop a big woman like that.”
Dayag said she became friends with Chavolla after the incident, and called her “low-key nice. But just don’t mess with her.”
“Don’t talk about my momma,” Chavolla said, laughing.
The other woman has reportedly been identified as Sabrinah Fontelar. An Instagram attributed to her posted text messages in which she discussed getting cited over the incident.
Law&Crime confirmed with the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department that a woman named Sabrinah Fontelar was issued a citation for misdemeanor battery. She will have to show up in court at a later date, Public Information Officer Laura Meltzer told Law&Crime in an email. Cops will not release the names of victims or witnesses to this incident, Meltzer wrote.
A McDonald’s spokesperson did not immediately reply to a request for comment.
