Texas Mom Whips Out Apparent Gun During Fight Between Teen Girls (WATCH)

How far would you go to protect your daughter? Would you go as far as to point a firearm at someone? Video shows a Texas woman pulling out what appeared to be gun during a brawl between her child and another girl. Now she’s saying that it was just a toy.

As seen on video, two girls started fighting. One of them, 13-year-old Chynecia Barnes, said it was over a Snapchat video. The other girl was identified as  Tiffanee Washington.

“I posted a video of a song and the girl Tiffanee, she saw it and she approached me while I was on my friend’s porch asking ‘what the f was this about,’” she told KTRK.

Cue fisticuffs.

This was too much for Barnes’ mother Chade Lockett, claimed she and her daughter were outnumbered by other people 15 to two.

“When I hopped out the car and saw what’s going on, they charged at me,” Lockett said. “The lady in the brown shirt had a knife. The girl in the striped shirt had a knife.”

She claimed she grabbed her son’s BB gun out of the vehicle, and used it to scare away the attackers. Lockett insists she was just defending her child.

“I’m not a bad person,” she said. “I’m not a bad mother. I take care of my kids, go to work and I come home. I’m not in drama.”

Drama she is going to get. Washington’s grandmother Tracy McIntyre said she filed a complaint with the Houston Police Department.

“What was she thinking with a gun?” McIntyre told Click2Houston.

She claimed Lockett struck her granddaughter repeatedly in the face with gun. Lockett denied this.

“Kids–I understand they are going to fight, but I want justice for the mother for what she did to my granddaughter,” McIntyre said.

The Houston Police Department did not immediately respond to a Law&Crime request for comment about the case.
