A jury panel has been selected for the murder trial of Justin Ross Harris, and attorneys are now arguing motions at a pre-trial hearing, and conducting additional questioning of a juror who had previously been selected. Harris is accused of intentionally killing his 22-month-old son Cooper by leaving him in a hot car while he was at work.
A panel of 45 jurors was chosen for the case, over several days of questioning. The court will be taking next week off, and then jurors will return on October 3 for the final selection of a 12-person jury plus four alternates. Opening statements in the trial are scheduled to begin once the jury is in place.
