Watch Live: Robert Rembert Sentencing Hearing

Robert Rembert was about to stand trial for killing four people, when he pleaded guilty to two counts of aggravated murder and two counts of voluntary manslaughter. Now instead of a trial, the case goes straight to a sentencing hearing. Watch live in the player above.

Rembert killed Rena Mae Payne in May of 1997. More than 18 years later, he killed Kimberly D. Hall in June of 2015. Three months later, he killed Morgan Nietzel and Jerry Rembert in September of 2015. He had already been convicted in December 1997 of voluntary manslaughter for killing Dadren Lewis, and was sentenced to six years in prison. Payne’s death is believed to have taken place before this.

Prosecutors said they were able to use DNA evidence to connect Rembert to Payne and Hall’s deaths. They said he was living with Jerry Remeber and Morgan Nietzel when they were killed.
