WATCH: Hearing in ‘Bachelor’ Star Chris Soules Fatal Hit and Run Case

Chris Soules, former star of reality show “The Bachelor,” will appear in court on Thursday for a hearing in his criminal case, where he is accused of leaving the scene of a car accident where another person died. Watch live in the player above.

The Iowa State Patrol said that Soules rear ended a tractor with his truck in April of this year. Both vehicles wound up in a ditch, police say, but Soules allegedly fled the scene on foot, leaving his truck behind. That tractor’s driver later died at a hospital.

Prosecutors claim that alcohol containers were found in Soules’ vehicle, but blood and urine tests came back negative. Soules’ lawyers insist he was sober when the accident occurred.

The hearing is in regards to Soules’ attorneys’ motion for the prosecution to provide a bill of particulars, or a detailed listing of the specific allegations against him.

Soules first appeared in the “Bachelor” franchise in 2014, as a contestant on “The Bachelorette.” The following year, he was the star of “The Bachelor.”
