Lisa Bloom Calls Fox News ‘the Bill Cosby of Corporate America’ After O’Reilly Settlement (Video)

Attorney Lisa Bloom had choice words for Fox News.

“In my opinion, this network is the Bill Cosby of corporate America,” Bloom said on Sunday’s episode of Reliable Sources. She was referencing comedian Bill Cosby, who has faced dozens of sexual assault allegations, and currently stands trial in Pennsylvania over one charge.

When host Brian Stelter pressed Bloom on what evidence she had about Fox, she cited the “dozens and dozens” of women who said they were sexually harassed at the company.  “How many Gretchen Carlsons, how many Andrea Tantaroses do we need? All of these women, by the way, driven out, their careers are over. Bill O’Reilly is still sitting pretty.”

This comes after a New York Times report said that over the years, Fox News’ parent company settled with five women who claimed popular host Bill O’Reilly sexually harassed them or mistreated them in some way. On top of that, Bloom’s client Wendy Walsh, said that after he rejected O’Reilly’s advances, he didn’t fulfill his promise to hook her up with a job at the network.

“I feel bad that some of these old guys are using mating strategies that were acceptable in the 1950s and are not acceptable now,” she told the Times. “I hope young men can learn from this.”

Former Fox News host Andrea Tantaros also claimed O’Reilly sexually harassed her, and so she sued Fox News and former CEO Roger Ailes in 2016.

As for Ailes, he was accused by former host Gretchen Carlson of sexual harassment. She later reached a $20 million settlement with 21st Century Fox while Ailes resigned.

But the company, Ailes, and O’Reilly have denied allegations.

“Just like other prominent and controversial people, I’m vulnerable to lawsuits from individuals who want me to pay them to avoid negative publicity,” O’Reilly wrote on Saturday. “In my more than 20 years at Fox News Channel, no one has ever filed a complaint about me with the Human Resources Department, even on the anonymous hotline.”
