Beverly Nelson is fighting for credibility Friday. The Roy Moore accuser presented a yearbook signature as evidence she and the embattled Senate candidate really knew each other back when he allegedly sexually assaulted her. But she told Good Morning America she added to the signature, making “notes” underneath it. She and attorney Gloria Allred are scheduled for a press conference, where they’ll show evidence they say proves Moore knew Nelson at the time.
Nelson came forward with her allegation in a November press conference. She claimed Moore sexually assaulted her when she was 16, and she presented his alleged signature in her yearbook as evidence that they knew each other. Her new admission about date and place, however, isn’t playing well online.

Even if this allegation sinks, however, Moore has to do deal with other on the record allegations of preying on teen girls. The Washington Post reported other claims in which he tried to date minors as an adult, even sexually assaulting Leigh Corfman, then 14. He has denied these stories, saying these are politically motivated smear attacked by the outlet and by Democrats, and has gone on to attack the “mainstream” GOP for pushing him out of the race.
Some women said they were Dems, though Corfman, now an adult, said she voted for Republicans in the last three presidential elections. Nelson said she voted for Trump in 2016.
