WATCH: Adam Matos Quadruple Murder Trial Day 5

The quadruple-murder trial of Florida man Adam Matos continues on Monday. Prosecutors in Pasco County say Matos murdered his ex-girlfriend Megan Brown, her new boyfriend Nicholas Leonard, and her parents Margaret and Gregory Brown in 2014. If convicted, Matos could get the death penalty. Court is expected to begin at 9:30 am ET.

Prosecutors say that Matos first had a domestic dispute with Megan Brown on August 28, 2014, but left when his son woke up. He allegedly returned later that day and murdered her and the others. The next day, Matos allegedly started selling the Brown family’s belongings, including animals that the family owned, before fleeing the scene.

Wednesday’s testimony included family members of the victims. Jim Thomas, father and grandfather of the Browns said that his wife Linda would communicate with Margaret Brown daily, and that they were concerned when, beginning August 28, Linda couldn’t reach her and didn’t get any calls back. Nick Leonard’s father, Daniel Leonard, also took the stand.

Later, the court heard from Megan’s coworker Tonya Carlson. She talked about how the night of August 27, she went out for drinks with Megan Brown and Nick Leonard. She recalled that Megan received angry texts from Matos that night, and that this upset Megan. Carlson said that the next morning when she went to work, Megan’s car was still in the lot from the day before, but later in the day it was gone, even though Megan never showed up for her evening shift.
