Larry Nassar Gets Private Jet Flight to Federal Prison

Disgraced former USA Gymnastics doctor Larry Nassar has officially begun serving a prison sentence, and he traveled his federal prison in style, TMZ reported. Nassar, on his way to the facility in Tucson, Arizona, got a ride in a private jet.

The flight left Friday morning, according to the gossip site, arriving at its destination about four and a half hours later.

Despite the sweet ride, Nassar was anything but comfortable, having to trudge through the snow — while in shackles — to get to the plane.

Nassar was also accompanied by law enforcement, so it wasn’t entirely private.

When asked by TMZ if this was normal, the FBI simply said,” Due to security reasons, we do not share information on methods of prisoner transportation.”

Nassar is now serving a 60-year prison term for a federal child pornography case. Should Nassar, now 54, somehow still be alive when he is set to be released (as early as March 23, 2069), he would then get to start serving his state sentences for sexually abusing women and girls under the guise of medical treatments. Those sentences are to run at the same time, and could be up to 175 years.

The hearings for those sentences drew national attention when hundreds of women came forward to provide victim impact statements. Included among those who spoke in court were Olympic gymnasts Aly RaismanJordyn Wieber, and Jamie Dantzscher. The women not only spoke out against Nassar, they called out officials at USA Gymnastics, the U.S. Olympic Committee, and Michigan State University, where Nassar worked, who they believe enabled him for years.
