It appears this 32-year-old Florida man wasn’t expecting police to pull up at a gas station to put a stop to his alleged 5-day crime spree.

Bodycam footage from the Titus Police Department begins with Benjamin Victor Hovan on the ground and seemingly resigned to his fate, but the moment a female officer approached him he took off running. It didn’t end well.

Police used a Taser on Hovan two times. The first caused him to fall, but he got back up and kept going. The second attempt was successful and Hovan was arrested.

Fox 11 reported that Hovan was wanted for home invasion, sexual battery, and kidnapping. Police said Hovan had been on a 5-day crime spree that included sexually battering a woman over the weekend. Hovan allegedly went to an apartment where two women lived, battered one woman and then kidnapped both. He is then accused of driving them to a Publix supermarket so he could force one victim to withdraw cash from an ATM as he stayed with another in a car.

Casselberry Police Capt. Brenda Brandenberger said that Hovan called his father to say he “did something bad and needed to leave the area.”

It turns out that Hovan is also being investigated for pistol-whipping an elderly woman as she fed her cats, and stealing her car.
