‘Lock Him Up’: Michael Flynn Serenaded by a Crowd Before Ducking into an SUV (WATCH)

President Donald Trump‘s former national security advisor Michael Flynn was greeted by protestors with “lock him up” jeers on Tuesday as he exited a D.C. federal courtroom.

Flynn, who has already pleaded guilty to lying to the FBI and is awaiting sentencing as part of special counsel Robert Mueller‘s Russia probe, had just attended a status hearing. According to BuzzFeed News’ Zoe Tillman, the hearing was short and Flynn said “little.” Flynn’s lawyer also said his client was “eager” for this to come to an end. Apparently, this was for the benefit of Judge Emmet Sullivan.

Sullivan reportedly wanted to meet both parties before Flynn’s sentencing since he was not presiding over Flynn’s plea hearing. After the brief hearing, Flynn was serenaded by a group of protesters with “lock him up” demands, channeling “lock [Hillary Clinton] up.” News cameras and reporters also gathered at the scene, but Flynn, to no one’s surprise, did not comment. Flynn beelined for a black SUV and went on his way.

Flynn, you may recall, was charged in Dec. 2017 for “willfully and knowingly [making] false, fictitious and fraudulent statements” to the FBI about conversations he had with Russian ambassador to the United States, Sergey Kislyak.
