Aaron Hernandez continued Monday with the long awaited testimony of Hernandez’s former best friend, Alexander Bradley. Hernandez is accused of killing Daniel de Abreu and Safir Furtado on July 16, 2012 outside a nightclub after prosecutors say he became angry over a spilled drink.
Prosecutors say Bradley drove Hernandez’s SUV as the getaway vehicle on the night of the shooting and Hernandez leaned across him to fire the shots that killed two and injured one.
Bradley is currently on the stand talking about the events prior to shooting and has said Hernandez was especially upset that one of the alleged victims spilled a drink on him.
Just prior to the morning break, Bradley was preparing to testify about the actual shooting itself, saying Hernandez retrieved what he believed to be a gun from under the hood of the SUV.
Bradley’s testimony in the trial will resume later on Monday and LawNewz will have live courtroom coverage and analysis of the action.
