The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office released video footage of Tiger Woods while he was in custody early Monday morning after being arrested for allegedly driving under the influence. In the video above, Woods can be seen slurring his speech while answering questions at the Palm Beach County Jail, and moving sluggishly. At one point, while seated, Woods appears to have trouble staying awake, slumping against a wall.
At about the 4:30 mark in the 12-minute video, an official administers a Breathalyzer test, at one point whistling to apparently get Woods’ attention, and then instructing him on how to properly take the test. The athlete appears dazed throughout the entire video.
Woods denied drinking and driving, the results of a breath test showed a blood-alcohol content of 0.00, but he did admit to having multiple prescriptions for pain medications, and was exhibiting signs of impairment when officers found him asleep at the wheel, according to a police affidavit. The golf legend has said that he had an unexpected reaction after taking medication.
