Photographer Promises to Sue Chris Brown for Alleged Attack

Photographer Bennie Vines has promised to sue singer Chris Brown for an alleged nightclub attack. He told TMZ that he sustained injuries to his mouth, and has missed work because of the incident.

Vines said that the singer and his entourage arrived early Monday morning at Club Aja Channelside in Tampa, Florida. He tried to take pictures, but Brown’s people told him not to. Later, the photog tried to get crowd shots. Vines said he didn’t notice he was standing behind the singer, who was in the DJ booth. In any case, Brown allegedly attacked when he noticed him taking pictures.

The Tampa Police Department says Brown wasn’t there when they reached the club. They report Vines suffered lacerations to his mouth. Vine’s employer backs up his claim.

“Incidents like the ones caused by Chris Brown and his team are very sad to see,” Aja Channelside wrote in a Facebook statement. “As everyone witnessed he showed up to the club at around 1:30am. After only a few minutes of being there, Chris Brown himself and his team assaulted our club photographer and proceeded to walk out of the venue. AJA Channelside and our employees apologize for the inconvenience. Assault charges were pressed and we are dealing with the proper authorities accordingly.”

We’ve reached out to a Brown representative for comment.
