Prosecutors say that Wimpey was in a bar fight with Vasquez’s nephey Arthur Richter on January 31, 2018. Richter, who was said to have started the brawl, was convicted for inciting the fracas, but Wimpey allegedly hit Vazquez, who was trying to break it up. Vazquez suffered a broken jaw and was knocked out, but he died weeks later as a result of his injuries, prosecutors said.
According to a medical examiner, Vazquez died as a result of complications from blunt force trauma.
