A police officer blew his fuse at a mom who allegedly left her two children in a hot car while she was shopping. Video of the incident, which took place last Monday in Vancouver, shows an officer going on a tirade, yelling at the woman over the potentially tragic consequences her actions could have had.
“Do you understand what you’ve done? Your children could have died,” the officer admonished, pointing out that police, an ambulance, and a fire truck all responded because she left her 6-year-old daughter and 3-year-old son stuck in the car. They were reportedly alone in the vehicle for about 20 minutes.
Police responded to the scene after receiving multiple reports about distressed kids in a car. When officers arrived, the car’s alarm was blaring.
The cop was not pleased with the woman’s reaction, which appeared to alternate between defending her actions and stoic silence.
“Why are you arguing? You want me to seize your kids?!” the officer asked.
The mother is not facing charges, but the situation is being looked at by children’s services.
