The murder trial of Justin Ross Harris, who is accused of intentionally leaving his 22-month old son, Cooper, in a hot car to die, continues on Friday.

On Thursday, court was only in session for half a day, with the prosecution calling several witnesses, most of whom worked at the Little Apron Academy daycare facility where Harris was supposed to take Cooper the day he died. Instead, Harris went straight to work, leaving his son in the backseat of the car. Harris is facing eight charges, including malice murder, felony murder and child cruelty. He is also facing charges for allegedly sexting underage girls on the day his son was left to die in the parking lot of the Home Depot Corporate Headquarters in Cobb County, Georgia. Harris claims that he is innocent and this was all a tragic accident.

Thursday’s testimony dealt a lot with the Harris family’s routine when it came to Cooper’s daycare. Employees at the Little Apron Academy described Justin Ross Harris as friendly, with no indication that anything was wrong at home. They added that Cooper was talkative, as well. Testimony will continue Friday morning at 8:30 ET.
