The murder trial of Justin Ross Harris, who is accused of intentionally leaving his 22-month old son, Cooper, in a hot car to die, continues.
Harris is facing eight charges, including malice murder, felony murder and child cruelty. He is also facing charges for allegedly sexting underage girls on the day his son was left to die in the parking lot of the Home Depot Corporate Headquarters in Cobb County, Georgia. Harris claims that he is innocent and this was all a tragic accident.
On Tuesday, lead detective Phil Stoddard, continued with his testimony, as the defense cross-examined him. At one point, the focus was on a video Harris had viewed about a vet discussed heat and its effects on animals. Harris’ attorney claimed that there appeared to be an inconsistency in Stoddard’s testimony regarding Harris viewing the video. Stoddard supposedly said one thing at a pre-trial hearing and something else now. During the trial, Stoddard said there was no evidence that Harris had actively searched for the video.
