Pro-tip: Don’t rob Lotions & Lace, a sex toy shop in San Bernardino, California. You just might get smacked with a dildo.
One suspect learned that Wednesday night. Surveillance footage captured a man walking in with what seemed to be gun, and demanding cash. But one employee, identified as ”Amy” wasn’t impressed.
“With the gun, he walked in,” she told ABC 7. “I just thought he was trying to be funny, to scare us, but then I saw the gun and it was like, ‘Really? I don’t have time for this.'”
Plus she thought his “gun” didn’t look real, so she started yelling at him. As seen on video, he grabbed her after she started typing on what seemed to be a phone. That’s when her coworker started chucking sex toys at the suspect.
“They come in handy, I’m telling you,” Amy said.
The suspect started backing off, and soon left. No arrest has been announced. Police generally advise people to not confront armed robbers.
“I think he was a coward,” said the second employee. “Coming in and trying to get over on two females and not realizing that were pretty feisty.”
This Lotions & Lace location has a 4.2 rating on Yelp. Reviewers usually cite the excellent customer service and friendly staff.
