Video Shows Officers Taking Alleged Wine Sippy Cup from 5-Year-Old in Car: ‘I Think That’s Not for You’

You probably already heard about Ohio woman Elizabeth Floyd even if you can’t recall the name. The 27-year-old mother was arrested on Friday for allegedly driving drunk with her five-year-old in the car, but that’s not why she made the news. It’s because cops say she gave the child a sippy cup full of wine.

The Loveland Ohio Police Department released some brief but memorable dash cam footage Thursday, taken shortly after officers pulled over Floyd’s car. You can see it above, and a choice excerpt is below:

Male Officer: I think it’s wine. It’s an alcoholic beverage.

Female Officer: But he had it, right?

Male Officer: She gave it to him. He said that’s hers.

Female Officer: OK buddy, did you take any drinks out of it? You didn’t take any drinks?

Five-Year-Old: No.

Female Officer: Ok, good. I think that’s not for you.

“It is amazing what some people will do to hide evidence,” the LOPD said in a statement.

Floyd faces counts of endangering children, operating a vehicle under the influence, and failing to drive in marked lanes.
