A woman posted the video above to her Facebook page on Wednesday. It shows a dog riding behind a vehicle on Interest 95 in Flagler, Florida. But the pooch definitely didn’t seem safe: The animal stood on top of a cage-turned-trailer, while another canine seems to be visible in the cage itself.
“Got off on 100 going towards flagler [sic], I called the cops and they opened and investigation and have now found the owners, I am so happy this video was able to help these poor dogs out,” wrote the witness, Breanna Cronin. She also claims she saw an ‘S’ branded on the dog’s right back leg.
She mentions the police, but we were actually able to confirm that a sheriff’s office is investigating.
“The video was received and the case is being investigated by Flagler Animal Services and the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office as well,” Chief Mark Strobridge, a FCSO spokesman, told LawNewz.com. “We are still gathering facts for the investigation.”
