Law & Crime is Launching ‘Cop of the Week’ Segment to Honor Law Enforcement

From momentous acts of heroism like rescuing a drowning child to small acts of kindness like pushing an elderly woman’s wheelchair up a hill, police officers across the country demonstrate their commitment and bravery each and every single day, and much of the positive side of what they do can go unnoticed. We want that to change . To honor the best in blue, Law & Crime is launching a new segment called “Cop of the Week” and we are now taking your submissions. To be clear, this does not mean we will stop covering the sometimes darker side of police work but this will serve to offer some balance to the sometimes negative but newsworthy stories.

If you know a law enforcement officer who has done something truly incredible (it doesn’t matter how small) please send your nominations to [email protected]. To submit a nomination, please include the officer’s name, department, contact information and photo and/video (if you have it). If possible, provide a video testimonial explaining why he/she should be nominated for “Cop of the Week.” Each week, we will pick one officer and spread the word of their good deeds on our social media platforms, network and our site. We look forward to reading your submissions!
