Legendary former FBI agent and criminal profiler Douglas–the inspiration for the Netflix show Mindhunter–is teaming up yet again with best-selling author Olshaker for Killer Across The Table. This time, they take a look at four heinous killers: Donald Harvey, Todd Kohlhepp, Joseph Robert Kondro, and Joseph McGowan.
“We are going to take an in-depth look at four killers I confronted across the table after I had left the bureau, using the same techniques we had developed during our extensive study,” Douglas wrote, later adding. “They are all predators, and all grew up without forming trusting bonds with other human beings during their formative years. And they are all prime exhibits in one of the central debates of behavioral science: nature verse nurture, whether killers are born or made.”
