Spokesman for Trump’s Legal Team Apparently Not Always the Biggest Trump Fan

Tweets first compiled by The New York Times show that the spokesman for President Donald Trump’s legal team, Mark Corallo, hasn’t always always defended the president. In fact, in posts as recent as last month, Corallo wrote sharply critical tweets about President Trump and praised the appointment of special counsel Robert Mueller.

Earlier in May, Corallo took to Twitter and asked the president where all the “winning” was, most likely referencing former President Bill Clinton in the following sentence:

Corallo also aimed his criticism at President Trump’s appointments of daughter Ivanka Trump and son-in-law Jared Kushner to White House staff positions:

Corallo was quick to defend his tweets, however, in an email to the New York Times.  “I have not been shy about expressing my admiration and support for President Trump. I hold him and his family in the highest esteem both personally and professionally,” he wrote. “I have never been shy about expressing my opinions as a private citizen. I am not a ‘yes man,’ and the fact that I may have been critical of the administration on a few occasions is proof of that.”

Corallo’s most recent twitter activity has been actively Pro-Trump. Earlier this month, Carallo tweeted this, reinforcing his support for President Trump:
