The couple allegedly connected to the kidnapping of still-missing 20-year-old Heather Elvis will head to court Monday in Conway, South Carolina. Husband Sidney Moorer was scheduled for a 10 a.m. hearing on an obstruction of justice charge in connection to the case, while wife Tammy Moorer will appear in court at 11 a.m. for a contempt of court charge. She was accused of violating a gag order.
Elvis disappeared in 2013, but she hasn’t turned up yet. Mr. Moorer stood trial for the kidnapping in 2016, but that ended in hung jury. The obstruction of justice charge stems from an allegation that he tried to stop investigators from finding her. Murder charges against the couple were dismissed in 2016.
