Jury selection is underway in the obstruction of justice trial of Sidney Moorer.
Moorer is accused of kidnapping 20-year-old Heather Elvis. Elvis was last heard from in December of 2013. Her car was found abandoned near Peachtree Landing.
The prosecution says Moorer obstructed justice when he “purposefully acted in a way that prevented, obstructed, impeded, or hindered the adminstration of justice.”
A date has not been set for the retrial on the kidnapping charges.
