WATCH: Sentencing Hearing of Kevin Bluhm, Charged in Jessica Heeringa Abduction

Kevin Bluhm is facing a sentencing hearing for a charge of being an accessory after the fact in the disappearance of Jessica Heeringa in 2013. Bluhm pleaded no contest in November. His cousi Jeffrey Willis is charged with Heeringa’s murder, and awaits trial later this year. Bluhm has been behind bars for 470 days and sentencing guidelines call for zero to nine months, so he is expected to be released.

Bluhm admitted to helping Willis move Heeringa’s body from a basement, but claims she was dead at the time. Her body was never found.

Willis was convicted of murdering Rebekah Bletsch in a separate trial last year. He was charged with killing both Bletsch and Heeringa after authorities found evidence while investigating a third case, where Willis is accused of trying to abduct a teenage girl in April 2016.
