The murder trial of Justin Ross Harris, who is accused of intentionally leaving his 22-month old son, Cooper, in a hot car to die, continues.

Harris is facing eight charges, including malice murder, felony murder and child cruelty. He is also facing charges for allegedly sexting underage girls on the day his son was left to die in the parking lot of the Home Depot Corporate Headquarters in Cobb County, Georgia. Harris claims that he is innocent and this was all a tragic accident.

On Wednesday, the prosecution called David Michael Brani, a thermal dynamics specialist, to the stand. Brani talked about how he simulated the temperature of the day Cooper died, to test what the temperature in the car would have been. He said that while the temperature was below 95 degrees during the morning, by 3:30 in the afternoon it was up to 125 degrees. The State also called Lauren Jamara, an employee for the company that makes the messaging app Whisper, which Harris allegedly used to contact women. Also testifying was Caitlyn Floyd, a woman who had exchanged messages with Harris over Whisper.
