Starbucks Offering Legal Assistance to Employees Affected by Travel Ban

StarbucksĀ is offering their support to employees who might be affected by President Trump’s travel ban. In a letter sent by executives on Monday, the company said they will provide free legal resources to workers who might be affected by the ban, “help navigate immigration issues and get answers in these uncertain times.”

The letter says that Starbucks is partnering with Ernst & Young, whose immigration department will provide assistance, and that employees of the coffee giant can email their immigration-related questions in order to get answers.

Starbucks CEO Howard Schultz recently stated that the company is planning to hire 10,000 refugees over the next five years.

Meanwhile, the travel ban has been placed on hold by a federal court in Washington State. An appeals court will hear oral arguments in the case later today.
